More questions, Yay!

"My questions is what's the state of They Say Love is Blind contest winner update?"

I pushed back They Say Love is Blind (henceforth known as TSLB) to finish writing what has turned in to a novel length story -- which then got pushed back to finish Beast. Once Beast is finished I go back to the unfinished novel AND THEN TSLB. Whew...not sure when that will be finished but definitely before the end of the year. Okay before we reach fall. I have like...one sentence written and only a portion of the plot worked out. I just want to make sure it's awesome and so won't rush it.

"...have you seen 1Girl 5Gays on Logo? good show.. my new addiction"

I caught the promo for the show about a year ago but forgot to actually watch it. What's Logo? Is that the channel it shows on? We don't have that channel here in Cincinnati. I'll watch it when I find it. The show sounded really interesting.

  1. I think you either have to have digital cable or satellite for Logo. It's the LGBTQ channel

  2. I have digital cable. I don't know what LGBTQ. That's a weird acronym

  3. I did a quick search on the web but don't see it here in Cincy. I'll call my cable company.

BTW, my sister just told me that Oprah will have her very own channel; The Oprah channel. I asked my sister what it was going to be about since she said she was going to contact her cable company to make sure she has it and she said, "Oh...you wouldn't like it." looking smug. I told her I might like it. They might talk about good books and good movies. She said, "Well...it's just about stuff you wouldn't be interested in..." I was scratching my head, what? Lesbian issues? What?? (incidentally sister is gay). Finally she says, "It's all about her and since you don't like Oprah..."

Wow, an entire channel devoted to oneself? I doubt that. But it's possible...Anybody else heard about it?

  4. Wow, Pep....you don't watch much TV, eh? LOL

Oprah took over the Discovery Health Channel like 8 months ago. It is now called the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). I don't watch it. It's mostly movies like The Accused, Coming to America, and reruns of TLC shows like Say Yes to the Dress and What Not to Wear. Oh and Behind the Scenes of her last year of her own show.

LGBTQ=Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transsexual/Transgender and Queer.

  5. OWN also has some interesting original programming as well. It's just basically Oprah running shit her way. It's interesting. Logo is fantastic. Seriously I can't believe you've missed RuPaul's Drag Race.

  6. LGBTQ...I soooo want that channel. I'm calling my cable company! But this is Cincinnati. Ya'll know what they did to Larry Flint, and we won't even talk about the Maplethorpe exhibit. Though...Maplethorpe still came to Cincy and The Hustler store is thriving and filled with many goodies so the LGBTQ channel might come here. Oh, and there is another sexual genre and I know several people that claim to be among them; pansexual. It is having no true preference and having no attraction to someone based on their physical appearance.

  7. @AwickedRose, I have seen Rupaul's drag race. But it's on a different channel...I can't remember which. The same channel where they do all those surprise fake-friends-think-you-ugly-and-need-a-makeover shows. Or, I'm a spoiled rotten brat that lucked up and suckered some dude in to marrying me so now I'm going to show my ass on national tv shows. Let's not forget the reality shows where some ballplayer married some woman and now we have the pleasure of watching a reality show about how interesting she is.

    Wow...did I come off a bit harsh?

  8. VH1 also shows Drag Race and all of those other frightful reality shows. How the fuck you gonna have Basketball Wives and ONE damn wife (who is on the verge of divorce)? Someone at VH1 didn't think that one through before they greenlit it.

  9. LOL, has anyone watched Mob Wives? Are you really supposed to be talking about mob business on national tv? And if you are such a tough mob wife, why the hell are you bawling your eyes out every time I turn to it?!
