Sorry guys. There have been some questions that I've been asked and I read them while away from home. Later, when I'm home I forget the question! I promise that I didn't ignore your question because I don't like it or that I am stuck up (grin), I just can't find the question again.
Also, if you've sent an email to me on gmail then I didn't get it. Honestly, I don't remember starting a gmail account but obviously I did because I finally pulled it up a few days ago and there was a ton of emails there!
Someone asked me a question that I wanted to answer and it had to do with the reaction of one of my characters, I believe that it was WOS. Anyways, if you asked me a question that I didn't answer then please send it again.
Thanks!

Edit of Adaptation chapter numbers
Sorry! Hope I didn't confuse anyone by make two chapter 26s for Adaptation. I corrected the post. I hope everyone is liking the story and that those that have been holding off on reading it will maybe jump to the beginning and give it a go.
I was writing chapter 28 this morning before work. Ugh, I started crying, man. That's when I KNOW that the story is getting real. Sometimes as a story teller I don't like myself very much...However the story guides me and I am being true to it. But I don't like seeing little kids in pain--that absolutely tears me apart.
So, for that reason alone I'm going to have to wind up The Trip in the next two chapters. It reminds me of writing Wheels of Steel, when Belinda (Peppermint Patty) was so sick. I wrote her death scene and it freaking tore me apart. I was literally balling as I wrote it. So to hell with it! I unwrote it and was pretty happy. It changed the ENTIRE dynamic of the story having her live but that was another instance when the Writer overruled the story. Thanks for reading.

What is Pep up to; November 24, 2012?
Over the last month I've been doing some heavy duty editing of 3 of my novels. Content editing, not grammatical which isn't quite as hideous as the latter. Just finished literally 10 minutes ago (and celebrated with a slice of sweet potato pie with whipped cream).
I've been indulging in more leisurely writing; Adaptation, Problem Solver and I now need to focus on publishing some new works. I get many requests to continue stories that I've already written; WOS, Urban Vampire, but I have so many other stories that are dying to be brought to life.
I can barely wait to start on new projects but I still have many obligations that need to be fulfilled first. Book three in the Urban Vampire series will be released in 2013, as well as book 4 of Wheels of Steel.
I've also been doing some reading. I got caught up on my Kim Harrison Hollow's series, and I read an anthology by Tiana Laveen--both were very good. I have Violette Dubrinsky's new novel and I hope to be able to start it this weekend and Creepy RJ has completed a story on Literotica that I helped give feedback on and I definitely want to read the ending. My friend OhMyGoodness has a new story on WattPad that I started and really like. My reading list also includes buying the new novel by Sienna Mynx and reading Wool by Hugh Howey.
As far as my own writing career, it is going well enough for me to consider making it a full time job. My pesky first job interferes with my writing (smile).
And speaking of writing; I noticed a new beta list on Amazon.com. They've had lists for the top 100 best selling stories within specific genres. Several of my stories have appeared on the list in the genres of multicultural, African American and Erotica. But a few days ago I noticed that they now they have a top 100 best selling authors list. It is also separated into specific genres.
I was very proud to see that I was ranked as number 61(changing hourly) in the top selling writers on Amazon.com in the genre of EROTICA.
It's more of a reason for me to seriously consider making writing my career instead of a passtime. But anyways, that is for future consideration. For now I'm going to tackle the next chapter of Adaptation. Talk to you guys later.

I am so neuotic
How about that post title? LOL.
I've discussed this in previous posts. Feel free to dig through them if you like. But anyways, I should be writing because I do have a shitload of writing obligations. No, I'm not talking about Adaptation, but for a third party and since it does involve making money I really need to stay on task. Not to say that Adaptation isn't in the back of my mind because the next chapter needs to be reworked before I can post it. And that is not even addressing the next part of WOS and Urban Vampire that needs to be released in 2013. No rush jobs, either but FUCKING great novels need to be written...and I haven't even started. And A Seal Upon Your Heart is sitting there collecting dust.
So I'm sitting here this evening with free time on my hands and it is the perfect time to get some editing or writing done.
But I can't.
Do you want to know why? Because I'm neurotic, hence the post title. You see, my daughter came home for Thanksgiving break and she played a song for me. We are a hugely musical family. We listen to just about everything and it is literally the backdrop of my existence. I wouldn't even dream of writing without music. (If you send me a playlist I will listen to it!). I need hours and hours of music so that I can become the story. No music, no story.
By the way, that wasn't the neurotic part. Back to the story, the song that she played for me is by a group called Fleet Foxes. It's been around for several years and you may have heard it at some time or other. While i was listening to the opening I thought it reminded me of another song that I'd heard. When I told my daughter she agreed. I started wracking my brain trying to figure it out.
So later, I sat at my computer to write--and couldn't. I kept thinking of the beginning of White Winter Hymnal and what it sounded like. It nagged at me and instead of writing I was 'compelled' to find the song.
Now, considering that I listen to hours upon hours of music I knew that this would be horrible for me. But whenever I picked up the laptop I was more interested in scanning through my music library for that obscure song than I was in writing.
And that is what it is to be neurotic. You know its crazy but you just can't stop. Well anyways, luckily, it only took me 2 days to find the song. I remembered that it was in some Twilight movie and then it was just a matter of scanning through my playlist for movie soundtracks. And now I am happily writing, and editing and trying to get back on task.
Here is the song that almost made me crazy; Bombay Bicycle Club-How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep.

A Post Thanksgiving message from my sister.
My sister wrote this on her Facebook and I decided to reblog it.
Have you seen this AT&T commercial?
I'll admit it I did something stupid that the majority of us probably
do. Yesterday I was texting while driving. The ironic thing was this
commercial came to my mind as I was texting, I thought to myself how
stupid am I to be texting and driving. Do I really want this to be my
last text just like that man in that commercial? I immediately put the
phone down (I didn't even finish my text).
Fast forward to
Thanksgiving day. I'm hosting a Thanksgiving diner at my house.
Sheilah's sister brought a young man named Wil to our home for
Thanksgiving. I couldn't initially tell what his condition was but he
walked with a limp and had the use of only one arm and hand. He was
getting around very well and walking and talking and telling funny
stories, he made all of us laugh.
After dinner when I finally had a
chance to sit down and talk to him I asked him about his condition. He
said... "I can show you better than I can tell you". He pulled out his
cell phone, navigated to You Tube and played this video. I screamed,
"Will is this you!!!" He smiled and said yes. I told him that he may not
believe this but I thought of him yesterday. I said you don't know me
but I thought of you yesterday while I was texting and driving, I told
him how I put the phone down because I remembered your commercial. I
cried and he gave me the longest hug...
PP says: Please remember this video whenever you are in a situation where someone has so little care for your life and safety that they will text and drive. You see this man was a passenger.

Happy Thanksgiving
What a nice Thanksgiving. My kids came home from school, my son brought home a friend so there was an extra place at our table. The food turned out to be perfect. Now everything is put away and the dishes cleaned. I am laying in my bed watching The Godfather while my kids go around visiting family.
Goodness...what a great day. I hope that your Thanksgiving was filled with family, friends, food and of course rest!

What is Respect? (Ho-Z reblog)
This was very cool post concerning the upside down wheelchair man logo that my friend Ho-Z uses and I wanted to share. Here is the direct link to the article as it appears on Ho-Z's website. WHAT IS RESPECT?
Some people may think the logo could be interpreted as disrespectful. That is just not the case. Respect is the main issue Ho-Z design attempts to address with the clothing line. Is it disrespectful? The short answer is no. More specifically, a big misconception would be to assume that the logo is mocking, whereas the intention is quite the opposite. It’s a demonstration in support.
Disrespect is actually showing you don’t care. If you don’t care you don’t see the person, and that’s the problem. Sometimes a disabled person can feel invisible. If you hate something or love something, you still care one way or the other. Disabled people will be happy to see you in it. You’re saying,
I assure you if you look at it this way, you’ll never see it the same again and it will most likely mean more to you as well.
Not only will people notice the statement you’re making while wearing the logo, it may cause them to question their own beliefs too.
Show your support today! Rock the clothing from the shop, or score a print from the art gallery! Names, personalized items, and art print clothing available upon special request. For any of these requests, please use the form on the contact page to place all special orders.

‘You are not invisible, I see you, you are also human and I respect that.’You may have also seen the symbol a million times in your day to day life not understanding the significance or impact. In truth, it is extremely important. It’s there for a reason, to address challenges others may take for granted every single day. It signifies the acknowledgement that a disabled person goes to the same places, and does the same things everyone does.
I assure you if you look at it this way, you’ll never see it the same again and it will most likely mean more to you as well.

“As with any style you’re encouraged to make it your own. I’ve even seen some transform them into crop tops, add accessories, or delight in color choice. It’s all about individuality. I encourage that. People often buy a piece and then come back for more. That’s normal. You turn heads and at the same time make an important statement.”If you are hesitating, don’t. The Ho-Z Design brand is actually all about crushing stereotypes. It’s meant to be fun, and unique. If that fits you and it’s a message you can stand behind, show your support today!

The Problem Solver Pt 3 ~Final~
As I mentioned before, this story is my tribute to Donald Goines. It is filled with sex, violence and cursing. I used a program called Dictation to transcribe it to the computer. Quite frankly, I would have never transcribed it if not for Dictation. It's not something that I'll publish and it is more of a 'fun' piece to share with you all.
As promised, this is a three parter and the final installment is now.

Abigail Street
OTR (over the rh ine) has been revitalized into a culinary hotspot and this restaurant is one of the reasons. My visit to Abigail Street restaurant was unfortunately not captured on film. Quite honestly I believe that I had too much wine--which they have on tap.
They serve small dishes that are larger than tapas, and meant to be shared. I remember that the chorizo stuffed dates were mouth watering! My foodie partner and I shared several dishes and they all were delicious.

Awkward Black Girl
Am I the only one that watches ABG? I LOVE this show. It's on YouTube (for free), and they have an episode a month, though in December it will start being 2 episodes a month. (Yay)
What I like about it is the satirical social commentary concerning relationships, work, shyness, friendship, etc. I always feel a moment of; "Yeah! That's happened to me!" I just watched Season 2, episode 6 and J and White Jay are finally 'getting busy'.
I felt very connected to this episode *blush* and was screaming at my computer "Hey, I did that too!" J is an awkward black woman (much like myself), who has a new man in her life who happens to be white (like the new man in my life). They are about to begin a sexual relationship and I could not stop laughing at how awkward she made it. ABG s not afraid to talk about things that you 'arent' supposed to talk about'.

More posts than normal...
You may notice more posts than I normally make. I created a new food blog and I am trying out connecting Writing Feedback with Food for Thought. I'm not sure how long it will last but thanks for looking and commenting.

A question for Pep: Music from WOS
I received a question on my "Ask Pep A Question" post. I thought I would share it with you all.
Nikki~
Hi Ms. Pace,
I am currently reading WOS (I am so very behind, and kicking myself for just discovering your books) I was wondering where the soundtrack was. There has been reference to it, so I was hoping it was still avaliable somewhere? Also just wanted to applaud your work. This genre was becoming painfully predictable to me, and I have found actual redemption in your characters! I had given up, but not anymore. Its also made me rethink a few things...So very well done.

Hi Nikki,
I'm happy that you have discovered WOS. When I first began writing the story I posted each chapter here on the blog. At one point it was interactive and all you had to do was to click the links and it would take you to music.
As the story progressed I discontinued making it interactive. The links are no longer available. Ho-Z, the muse and inspiration to the story created short, original music to the story. He may make them available to you if you let him know that you are interested in them. One song that he specifically gave me is Sweetheart in Hamilton County. So that is a song that I can share with you.

Sweetheart in Hamilton County was a song that Ho-Z specifically made for me. As you may remember, in WOS Robin's online name was SweetheartHC for Sweetheart in Hamilton County. When Jason fell for Robin he was so touched by her sleeping form that he created this song for her. Ho-Z did such a wonderful job with this song that it literally blew me away. I play it all of the time (it was my ringtone until I got my my iphone 4S and didn't know how to add my own ringtones).
I decided to share the song with you all and if you like it please give a shoutout to Ho-Z. He doesn't make music anymore and I think its a great shame :( He is an excellent, creative man that should explore every one of his talents.

The Problem Solver: A new free Pepper Pace story
I don't know if I've ever shared the origins of my pen name; Pepper Pace. If I have it was so long ago that it bears repeating.
When I was a young adult my best friend had a boyfriend whose name was Pepper Pace. I thought it was a very cool name and years later I decided to use it in a story. The name of that story was The Problem Solver and in it Pepper Pace was a good/bad guy. The Problem Solver is my attempt to write a Donald Goines-esque story that is gritty and urban and kind of evil. I eventually scrapped the story but was still intrigued with the name and so when I created an online persona it became Pepper Pace.
Before you decide to read this there are two very important facts that I must share:
First is that I used 'Dictation', a program available on my new Mac computer to transcribe this story from its written form. Dictation is my new toy and I like it a lot. But its not perfect. So when I speak it might type a word that sounds similar and it requires me to go back and reread it.
I did a quick scan to catch some of the errors--but not all of them! If you are bothered by typos and bad editing then I suggest you skip this story. You've been warned.
The second fact is that this is a FULL three part story. Many of you are currently reading partial stories and wishing for the end of many of them :(
I don't want to be one of those writers that make constant promises to finish a project but never does. I'm just going to be straight and say that I don't know when this story or that will be completed. But I'm making a point of publishing this complete story in three parts! Each part will be published in one week intervals.
Now lets begin:
