I can't even go a week!

...without writing.  As I sit here attempting to read some of these horribly written stories on my NOOK, I've gotten the writing bug again.  Now I just need to decide what to write.

  1. You've written wonderful stories where the families are accepting of the interracial relationship eventually...what about writing one where the family doesn't change or accept the couple...fighting the world turns into fighting each other...or what about different races, different religious beliefs and the struggle of that

    ReplyDelete
  2. That is food for thought. But I think I'll start 1-900-BrownSugar. It's stories within stories but it's still much shorter than WOS...anything is shorter than that.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I know you said you would start Brown Sugar, but if you are open to requests I wouldn't mind reading a story about a secret lover sitatution or a bet/threat plot.

  4. what happened to the continuation of Blair and the Emo boy.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I was looking at your Alt account on Lit and I about passed out when I saw your incest story it flabbergasted me. I would have never saw that from you.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I love Emoboy...but it's the last thing I want to write at this time. I want to write about new characters. But I'll finish up Emoboy in 2011. Promise.

  7. Casey you didn't say whether or not you liked it

    ReplyDelete
  8. Ummm... honestly I didn't. I liked the angst that was felt between the young lovers but then I just cound't get over the incest part. And please tell me you can't marry your brother here! Gross!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Marriage between siblings is not illegal in all states. I can't remember if it's actually legal in Ohio. That research was nearly a year ago. But it probably is.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hmmm... well ummm... okay!
What is your favorite thing you have ever written and why?

    ReplyDelete
  11. It's hard to say because when I go back and re-read one of my stories, I'm often times shocked at how well it came together. But The Way Home is one that I love due to it's innocence. MILF due to the way that Jon and Noreen expressed themselves that first time they made love. Juicy because it truly showed that love is subjective and Troy seemed to be one way but was very strong. While Juicy seemed to be that loud spoken, stereotypical black woman, but she turned out to be more fragile than most. Baby Girl and the Mean Boss because it took so long to perfect and it made me cry harder than any other story I've written. Last would be the Purple World (which I've never shared here because it's a youth novel written for my daughter).

  12. What is your least favorite thing that you have written and why?
Is writing youth novels something that you would be interested in?

  14. I'll answer that by saying that even the ones that I like the least, I still like alot.

Urban Vampire bores me though I still feel connected to the characters. But that entire genre is just overdone(for me anyways). WOS, though I adore the characters. It just doesn't feel like...PepperPace. Last is Loverman Oh Where Can you Be, because I was trying to write a different type of story but it took on a life of it's own.

I would love to write youth stories. The first 2 novels I ever wrote were like SE Hinton's The Outsiders, and I wrote them before the age of 15...again just for mine and my friend's pleasure and never published.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Okay I have a confession, I haven't read Urban Vampire. I keep meaning to but just haven't got there yet.

Do you remember what made you want to write? Was there something that made you say, Yep writing is for me?

What are you gonna do when you sell the movie rights to one of your stories and become a millionairess? And Can I play Belinda if its WOS lol?

  16. Random little comment here.....I saw that casey said your Alt account on Lit.......Now I can't get it out of my head that there might be stories of yours that I’m missing...Or it's waaaay past my bedtime and I’m wishful reading XD Long comment short /ish Do you have an Alt account on lit that by some horrible twist of fate I do not know of lol

    Jay =^.^=

    ReplyDelete
  17. Reading good books inspired my imagination. I was always a voracious reader. Reading bad books made me say, 'I can do that better.'

I don't think that I will be a millionaire and it doesn't bother me. Yeah I want to be rich but if I really really cared about that aspect of it, I would have submitted more than one story to more than one publisher. When I'm ready, it will happen (but I am anxious to hear back about Juicy!)

    Now about you playing Belinda...

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Jay
Umm Pep I hope you don't mind that I tell. It's AngelSCC.

    Casey

    ReplyDelete
  19. Awww Come on Pep I would be a great Belinda!!! I would say another character but I can't really think of any other white girls that are around my age (25b) in your stories.

Who would you say is your #1 fan? (besides me)

    ReplyDelete
  20. How about a story with a obese male/female? a person who is looking for (AWB) a love of their own. Just a thought.
oh yeah and i would like to read the incest story, if you wouldn't mind.

    ReplyDelete
  21. You could be Kendall from Baby Girl and the Mean Boss. Or Trisha in the yet to be transcribed 1-900-BrownSugar. Hmmm...my stories are lacking in white females.

Jay, my alt is my attempt to write in every genre except interracial and to determine if my popularity was based on the lack of IR writers on Lit or if I could Hotlist in other genres. Writing Angel Over My Shoulder and WOS took me away from that project...and now I've lost interest and now that everyone knows it's my alt acct no use in doing that little experiment. Or I may just delete these references to the Alt acct.

  23. Kalibiggirl, the incest story is really freaking good. The Alt gets more emails on that one then Pep has ever gotten on any one story. Literotica's top stories centers on page after page of incest stories, so not surprising that it did well.

I asked this guy that I was seeing, how I should approach the subject of incest. He encouraged me to write kissing cousin's or step siblings. I nixed those ideas as being cop-outs and came up with something that would be much harder to digest. I wrote an incest story about a boy that had fallen in love with his handicapped sister.

I figured that no one would be able to top that one! My Alt Account represents my personal challenges. Yep, I could have written a story about a cute sister and her handsome brother. One drools and the other began as a chubby misfit. Feel free to read them. I'm proud of each of those stories just as much as anything else I've posted.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ommmmgg I read that story a while back, didnt know it was you, but I really liked it. Incest is more common than people think, not to say its right or wrong, but I could understand the relationship between Izzy and her brother and how he could be inlove with her. Good story pep

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's okay Casey cuz when I wrote Does That Make Me Gay and posted it bothe here and on the Alt account people were bound to put two and two together. Though I did have someone send my alt an email stating that PepperPace has stolen your damn story! That was kind of funny. I replied with; I am Pepper Pace.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Thanks Kali...hey and thanks for discovering the Alt before I had to do an audio story...

    ReplyDelete
  27. I only found out that that was you because it is posted in the comments section of Does That Make Me Gay.

I should clarify that the story is tasteful and you always write great stories. I personally don't find the appeal in incest. I know that it is common, trust me. I was not trying to bash it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Pep! Kendall! Really?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I won't be insulted if someone doesn't like the incest story, especially when so many do.

No, I don't see you as Kendall. But I definitely need to diversify my writing!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hmmm...Here's a thought, how about a adult fairy tale.

  31. or how about a Sheik story...If I get any more idea's I'll make sure, to share them with you Pep.

  32. Huge fan of Twilight...not because I think it's the best written series. But the story sweeps me away. I'm team Jacob (of course). I absolutely can not wait for the next two movies. It's something that my daughter introduced me to, so it is something that we can share--which might mean that I like it all that much more.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I do like the idea of a Fairytale. Erotic fairytales have been done so much that I'm not sure how I would give it my own spin. But Goldilocks breaking and entering, eating up people's food and then having the nerve to sleep in their house...well that has always intrigued me. I bet that she'd have to be a super bad bitch to do that in the hood, with say...three big black brothers. And then let's say that she wasn't eating the oatmeal but come across their stash and fell out. That I would write. But since I essentially just told it here...

  34. karen marie moning is a author I quite like, but she does fall under the sci-fi genre.

    ReplyDelete
  35. hmm...you could always try werewolf...if you don't like werewolf you could for example do something like-weretiger...you could also do a historical one, again example if you do, do this one you could do something like time travel. Maybe a revenge story...you could even do something that start's in a bet/wage whatever you want to call it...a witch story? maybe Ghost story?...I'm starting to run out of idea's...so if I think of any thing else I'll make sure to again share it with you.
    -Arleen

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hell yeah, Goldilocks would have to be a Bad Bitch to do that in Detroit. LOL!
I like all of your stories I am a true fan. I think you have done a great job of writing in each genre. As I stated before I can’t wait to buy your books hopefully on Amazon Kindle or iStore.
I want to comment on incest. Historically first cousins were arranged to marry. this would provide the family with the same luxuries. Later history changed and they spoke about inbreeding. To be honest I wouldn’t want to be married to any of the fools in my family. To each their own! Do I enjoy stories from that genre? YES a good read is a good read. I have read stories from about every genre if they are in the Top stories; including Lesbian and Gay. What can I say; I true fan of stories/reading won’t discriminate.
I saw someone mention something about an obese girl. I like those stories but I hate it when the main character doubts her. Insecure woman just don’t do it for me. I just read Latrivia S. Nelson’s book The Ugly Girlfriend, I was disappointed that the main character was so insecure about her weight. Not to mention she was only a size 14; that’s nowhere near big in my book. They're large women out there that are very confident and attractive.
I say write a story where the woman is overly confident almost conceited. That's a plot that I haven't saw taken on by any other authors. Most of the stories have alpha males. There are very strong minded and goal orientated woman; that play the role of the man every day. There are men that love and appreciate that woman and see them as equals.
Another story line is something historical. I love historical books that are close to accuracy for that time. Then another is a murder mystery. I could go on and on but I am leaving work for the day.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sqa I just purchased Latrivia's book. I almost alway hate when an author has a plot of an low self esteem women who is "fat". I often times yell at my book and say" bitch you aint fat!" it kills me cause you dont know what fat is. I guess im really looking for a realistic bbw story. one where she is bigger than a size 20 hell even a size 30 guess I better get to writing then. lol
Litte Red Riding HoodRat would be a good story. I dont know about the streets of detroit, but they are probably worse than the streets of cali.
Hey Pep, how do you feel about extending The Shadow People? Are those characters pulling you to write more? I really liked that story.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I wouldn't mind writing more to the Shadow People because I think the two characters have chemistry. But I just started writing something. The girl in the story is big (at least in the beginning)...but it is not very complimentary. Here, I'll give you a snippet.

"...No one liked her. Well maybe someone secretly liked her but once her back was turned we all talked about her. And I don’t say this with any shame; she deserved it. Angela is a bitch. I think that she is even proud of it. I won’t mince words, I despise Angela. She is the person in your office that talks too much, talks too loud, knows everything (or thinks she does), and is not nearly as attractive as she thinks she is.
Yeah, despite the fact that I really hate that bitch, I never wanted her to get shot in the face..."

    It's called SILENCE IS GOLDEN

I've been having this fantasy for several years concerning me and Mark Wahlberg...but back to the story; SILENCE is about an overbearing woman that just happens to be black, overweight and obnoxious and how an unfortunate accident causes her to lose the use of her voice. And of course from there hilarity ensues.

She is not the typical 'woe is me' big girl because she knows she looks good (even if no one else does). You might like that story even though it's not BBW since she won't be big after the beginning of the story. Oh and here is another priceless tidbit from the very opinionated main character, Brian:

"...Maybe this will sound racist since I’m a white male and I don’t really know any blacks—but Angela gives a bad name to black women across the world. I mean, I’m smart enough to know that not all black women look and act like her, but she does influence my opinion..."

  39. Pep! You really now who to grab someone's attention with on paragraph! I was wondering have you ever just thought of using a site like Lulu.com to just self-publish your book? I would love to have physical copy of your stories to hold in my hands.

Anyway, I asked you awhile back about writing supernatual stories. Well good news I started writing, not so good news it all in bits and pieces! LOL This is my first time writing a story based off my own idea. I kind of lost my point (lol), I guess I wanted to vent a little.

I just don't how to fill the holes...
any other pointers you could suggest?

    Again love your work!

  40. Hey pep,
I was reading the post and I saw iit became ask pep a question hour. So as a long time reader and an infrequent commentor, I too would like to ask a question. I've read most of your stories and have enjoyed them beyond measure and have realized most are inter-racial. So is it an attraction thing on your part or do you just love the genre.
    Jay

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sana,
that is a good question and one that I've discussed with other unpublished writers. I used to have bits and pieces of a story because I couldn't wait to jump to the 'good parts'. I found that I wasted alot of time by doing that because then you have to come back and write the 'boring' parts and...frankly no one wants to do that. Also you might find that as you are doing your 'fill-in' that you have made changes that effect what you've already written.

My suggestion is to come up with a firm outline which is A to nearly Z. Then begin writing straight through from beginning to end (allowing yourself room to go back and make changes as needed). This first draft is just that; a FIRST draft. Come back and put in the MEAT which is your second draft. And if you are really serious there will be a final edit...and possibly even more than one final edit :)

If you want, I'll take a look at it and give you more specific feedback. Just shoot me an email letting me know that you are sending it so that I will not accidentally skip it. Someone sent me a big file but I deleted it accidentally before I got a chance to read it (sorry whoever that was and if you want to re-send please do)

    Pep

  42. Hi Jay, I'm happy that you enjoy my writing, and I'm happy to see your comments!

You asked about my stories being mostly IR and if it is an attraction for me or just the genre I've chosen to write in.

I love the IR genre and in the past it was difficult to find good, satisfying stories. Someone pointed me to Literotica and when I saw the number of IR stories I probably flipped. I had already started several notebooks of short, erotic interracial stories to submit to a publisher but they were basically experiments to see if I had the guts to write what was in the deepest corners of my soul and not write 'pretty' stories about 'pretty' people...and then whether anyone would even want to read about such things.

Yeah! People did want to read such things and when I gathered a following I made the decision to write only IR as Pepper Pace. I have no shortage of IR stories in me.

But I LOVE writing other genres; I love homo-eroticism, horror, sci-fi, even youth stories and I am dying to do sub/dom story that is NOT bdsm. But I've only been on Lit a year and have 62 submissions already. I'll flood Pep's profile out before long. So now there is an ALT.

Now, about interracial dating. It is the biggest turn on for me! I love guys for being Italian, for being Mexican, for being white etc--and I do not want these guys to be color blind. I want that guy to be as turned on by my 'black' skin, or whatever else he associates with being black. That is the thrill! Does it mean that I don't like black guys? Hell no! I love black men, too! But I am especially fond of dating outside of my race.

    ReplyDelete
  43. You really should write that sub/dom story!!! I love stories where the couple has a sub/dom dynamic. It's hard finding that in IR stories with black women b/c black women have to be strong, not that submissive women are doormats or anything, I just know that people assume submissive means "weak."

btw, have you read beautician and the beast on literoritca? It's an IR story and the woman is black and her and her man do dabble in bdsm, so i don't know if that's your thing. But there is that dom/sub dynamic in their sex play.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks Raven, I'll check out that story. It would be interesting to write a sub black woman who is always forced to be a dom by her white lovers, but who secretly craves someone stronger, who can make her...now that would be something that would interest me.

  45. Im feeling Silence. Get it cracking Pep! It is so funny that you were talking about loud obnoxious coworkers because me and my besty were just talking about that office busy body. What a coinkydink! I can't wait till the first post.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi Pepper, I have been a huge fan of yours for while now. This is my first time posting on your blog ( kind of a shy guy). I would love to see you do more stories like Stranded, which is my favorite behind Urban Vampire. Thanks for all the great stories and I wish you all the best in writing and in life

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi Chris, I'm happy that you posted and hope that you will post more. I'm planning to rewrite the last chapter of Stranded. When I went back to read it recently I was disappointed. I felt that it ended too quickly. And I think that it's necessary that Ocean and Marshall's child be born on the Island. These are some of the changes I intend to make.

The research for Stranded was helacious, so not sure when I'll want to tackle a story like that again. I enjoy hearing which stories are your favorites. Thanks again!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I know you said you were pretty much done with vampire genre. I was wondering if you ever thought about doing a stand alone werewolf story or series. I am a HUGE werewolf fan can never find enough good stories, lol

    ReplyDelete
  49. No Chris, I don't think I see any werewolf stories in me. Though...me and some friends were writing a kick-ass RP that had witches, vampires and werewolves. It was based on the Kim Harrison Hollows series and I'd drop everything to start writing that again. But other than that (and possibly starting Urban Vampire back up) no.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Pep, do you find writing those "hot" scene more hmm stressful? ;-) when i'm writing mine they always take sooo long, i want them to be good and perfect and humanly possible(with a bit of extra strength since in my stories it are strong werewolves after all hihi)
it's like writing one two paragraphs, visualize the scene(the mind tends to sidetrack then....no further comments there!) then try and pick it up again.
in a way i do enjoy writing those scenes, i mean, if you as a writer don't get a little tickle out of them then what about your readers? at least that is what i keep in mind.

i tend to bring in a lot of little breaks to keep the mind somewhat focused, else i wouldn't get anything written haha. as i say to jazc more then once, why do we make our men so bloody georgeous and hot?

    ReplyDelete
  51. oh as for the alt acc i actually read a few there ;-) didn't know it was you, but that aside, cheers for you for trying out other areas to write in.

    ReplyDelete
  52. When I write sex I sometimes have this fear that I'll no longer be able to 'hit it'. I think, one day will I have said it all? At the rate I'm writing, what if I can't find the 'electricity'? I don't want people to say, 'there goes Pep writing that same rehashed sex...stuff.'

The thing is, I really really enjoy writing sex/love/romance etc. I truly look forward to when I get to the sexy stuff! I don't feel like I'm writing--I'm almost in the moment and if for some reason I'm forced to pause, I start blinking and looking around and think...wtf? Where am I? LOL.

But if you aren't in the right...um, frame of mind, then forgetaboutit. Don't even try. It's good to mix it up. If you always have a strong guy/insecure girl then create insecure guy/strong girl. That way it doesn't get stale. All of my male characters are so nicey nice. I'm ready to write a guy that will be aggressive in bed.

And to answer why we write our guys so hot and sexy? For the fantasy. But in reality I really find my older, biker, long haired, weathered, somewhat-boyfriend to be very hot!

    ReplyDelete
  53. your somewhat boyfriend sounds a lot like "my" nick in SIW he's the strong but fair Alpha, the youngest brother is more of a handful, writing him now, he's the funny joker of the gang and he's rather a gentle dominant ;-) sounds odd but i'm making it work LOL
and yes that is one of the things i try to keep in mind, not to use the same too often, at least not in one story, and when "reusing" it trying to give it just that twists that makes it different.
a group of lit writers started this little guild, we help each other out, proofread for each other and edit if needed. we kinda started a lit of "hot places/items" we have a workbench, a desk, shower (of course!), bike, cave(that story isn't on Lit, yet. but damn it was hot)
have to admit most of the writers in the guild write werewolf and/or vamp stories. i think it opens up tha path of letting them be that extra little bit over protective or extra vicious, what makes their "downfall" that much sweeter, or their agony just that bit harder.
i like seeing how other writers weave their own world how they see a world with creatures like that. you can make them look so OTT, but on the other hand you can make them so lifelike...
on occasion i come across people(just randomly) and see how they act around their family, then think "yup, there goes the big alpha" and smile.

that is why i also like working on "my" ho-z story. i know it's going terribly slow, but imo rather write it slow and as perfect as i can get it instead of just slamming some words down and be done with it. i like the challenge it poses on an emotional level, hence the slowness.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Nothing wrong with slow, because that is how you breathe new life into a story. I'm pounding away on my little Silence is Golden story...but I'm also coming down with some type of illness because all I want to do is climb into bed and sleep, plus my head is pounding...and Glee is on and I can't even bother to turn on the tv...I'm really ill if I'm missing Glee.

Also I'm writing a new blog (which I'll share shortly) My friends have the nerves to say that I'm going blog crazy. *Sniffs* So.

Ho-Z is working on a new project...I can't wait to share--he won't let me say anything. And he just got back from Christmas break so school is taking up alot of his time. But you are all going to love it!!! I'm hyped.

Ok...gonna snuggle up in my bed and close my eyes for a few minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wait...Glee comes on tomorrow, right? I'm going to sleep for real

    ReplyDelete
  56. So, I had a chance to read all of the comments and was able to see that you have an alt account. Pretty excited about delving into that. I'm a little uncomfortable about the incest story. It just makes me feel weird to think that some arousal can come from reading that type of story. I feel a little better if they're not blood siblings. Blood cousins...step..uncles are a little easier for me to swallow. I dont know why though...look at history...and If we just blindly believe the bible...why isn't anyone questioning how the earth was populated by two people? That means that siblings had to sleep with siblings to make more people for the earth...anyway, I'm going off on a tangent. Back to your story. I'll give it a shot. It will be my first incest story that I have read completely through. ;-)

Also, I read a story on here that was male/male. I wasn't sure how it came about...if it was an alter ego..or if you posted for a shy friend. I dont know...but I liked it.

A couple of story suggestions. Of course something along the bdsm genre. I really like dominant men. I know that you dont write stories the way everyone else does. So, you'll probably switch that up and make it nice. I suggested an author for you that wrote a story with brothers that are both married to the same girl. Pretty cool for her. So, maybe a story about an unconventional relationship with 2 guys and a woman. The two guys are involved with each other, as well as being involved the woman. I'm sure I'll have more for you later. Sorry for the length of the post...

    ReplyDelete
  57. I like long posts NS. I love MMF stories, which you don't see very many of them and your story ideas are very intriguing.

I hope you enjoy the incest story as I do think it's a good one. At the same time I don't want anyone to think that I'm 'pushing' that genre onto anyone. I've enjoyed some good incest stories but I still can't read a Mother/Father child incest story.

It is just a matter of personal preference. For instance this gay male story is by far one of my very favorites on Lit. It's written by Caresse and is entitled Lust Burning. It is probably the hottest thing I've read on lit!

    http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=322619

But do I think that others will agree? Nooooo. I love homo-erotic stories...no apologies, no explanations I'm just into it!

    ReplyDelete
  58. OMG!!! I'm about to go to work and I just finished your story. I think it was on the last page that you brought up that Adam and Eve thing that I said in my post. Cool Pep...very cool. I did enjoy the story. It wasn't something that grossed me out like I thought it would. I usually try to put myself in the character's shoes and doing that with this type of story makes me uncomfortable. What is life without a little discomfort, right? That's the only problem that I have with incest stories. I dont feel the need to judge others. I wouldnt not be friends with someone because of that. I'll send you a link to a story about step-brother and sister that made a life together. It's a great story.

I'll be sure and read gay story. Two men together is just yummy. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Oh my goodness Pep I thought I was the only female that liked reading gay-male stuff. Now I just have to tell you about my favorite gay-male writer on literotica and his name is robcub32. I have read everything he has ever posted and I love each and everyone one of his stories, they all make me cry and laugh and cry so more. The romanticism of the stories as well as the intimate loving sex scenes are only just fractions of why I love his writing; every character is either love-able, like-able or even hate-able (yes I made a new word). Every time I see that he has posted a new story I get uuber excited and can't wait to read it... kinda like when you'd post the newest update on WOS. Now I know I'm biased but robcub32 in my opinion is like the Nicholas Sparks of homo-erotic literature.

  61. No wonder the incest category is popular on Lit. It's the last taboo. Consenting adults can legally do just about anything they want in bed, and on the floor, and up against the wall, and -- thanks to modern pharmaceuticals -- in the broom closet at the old folks' home.

There's just one thing the law won't allow: You can't bang your mama. It's only natural that people would fantasize about it doing it all night long and twice on Sunday.

  63. Hmmmm... Okay so I have been thinking on this and I would be really interested in reading a character that you create that is agressive.

Part of my attraction to your characters is the contrast between you characters. This is not purely encompassed in their race. Also the self image and upbringing.

Now an aggressive character would be a completely different aspect because any character that is aggressive generally does not recognise the limitations of society which often a leading antagonist in your stories.

Another aspect of an aggressive lead story would be that your co-lead can't be weak. Which is going to cause friction between the two protagonist of the story. Leading to another dianamic in the story.

Given your love of the realism I would love to read something that you could spin about such characters.

  64. The story I'm working on now has two aggressive characters. But I guess it is a bit different than what you are describing because one will be forced to change due to her circumstances.

  65. Is the story you are working on a chapter story or a quicky?

  66. I'm not sure how long it's going to get but it won't be quick--maybe the size of Stranded! I wish that I could write a short story, but it's impossible. I'll have to keep practicing.

  68. Pep Have you read PheeGee? She is amazing I think she is fairly new on Lit. One Little Bruise could possibly be the hottest homo-erotic story on Lit in my opinion. I also like armywife2009.
