I've recently lost 30 lbs in my attempts to create a healthier ME. It's been easier than I expected. I mean, there are no magic tricks-no magic pills or creams and gadgets. There is just a nutritious diet and exercise. Period.
For the most part we all know what we need to do to lose weight. It's just a matter of applying it. Death was a big motivation for me. My weight created an unhealthy person that had high blood pressure, depression, and hypertension. My cholesterol levels were high and I felt like I was literally at death's door.
I went to a doctor as well as a nutritionist. I did NOT want to do what they told me to do...but I did. And soon it just became a part of my life. For me that was the key. I had to stop feeling as if I was dieting and just think in terms of living a healthier life.
Joining Planet Fitness gym has been a big help. Every little bit helps. That's why I was so happy to be contacted by a reader who had an online website called SlimKicker. You gotta check it out, it's very user friendly. When you plug in your information; weight, age, height, goal, etc, it will tell you how much weight you have to lose and the date you should lose it by, as well as what your daily caloric intake should be. I was totally impressed by it. You can create a log, blog, join a team and much more. I'm going to put a link here and join if you are trying to shape up and get healthy.
