New Book Covers for Old Favorites

I'm not going to pretend I'm amazing at designing book covers—you can glance at my older covers and immediately see they're...well, kind of blah. But as an artist at heart, I genuinely love creating. Whether it's drawing, painting, sculpting—I just enjoy making things. That passion extends to designing my own book covers. In fact, throughout all my years as a self-published author, I've never outsourced cover creation. Now, that's not a brag. Honestly, there have definitely been times when I probably should've hired someone else!

However, with all the advances in technology and accessible tools like Canva and Bookbrush, authors now have the capability to produce pretty impressive covers on their own. Recently, I tackled a massive overhaul for the covers of my Everything is Everything series, giving books 1 and 2 a fresh, eye-catching makeover. And I have to admit—I really love how they turned out.

But improving the covers wasn’t the only big change for these books. I also went through and did significant edits—especially for book 2—taking into account reader comments, reviews, and my own evolved perspective on the story.

In addition to these updates, I created virtual audiobooks for both titles. (By "virtual audiobook," I mean audiobooks created with AI—but I'll dive into that topic in a later post.)

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the new cover designs. Up next is Juicy, which will be receiving its own extensive overhaul—including another round of edits and a virtual audiobook edition.
