New Book Covers for Old Favorites
I'm not going to pretend I'm amazing at designing book covers—you can glance at my older covers and immediately see they're...well, kind of blah. But as an artist at heart, I genuinely love creating. Whether it's drawing, painting, sculpting—I just enjoy making things. That passion extends to designing my own book covers. In fact, throughout all my years as a self-published author, I've never outsourced cover creation. Now, that's not a brag. Honestly, there have definitely been times when I probably should've hired someone else!
However, with all the advances in technology and accessible tools like Canva and Bookbrush, authors now have the capability to produce pretty impressive covers on their own. Recently, I tackled a massive overhaul for the covers of my Everything is Everything series, giving books 1 and 2 a fresh, eye-catching makeover. And I have to admit—I really love how they turned out.
But improving the covers wasn’t the only big change for these books. I also went through and did significant edits—especially for book 2—taking into account reader comments, reviews, and my own evolved perspective on the story.
In addition to these updates, I created virtual audiobooks for both titles. (By "virtual audiobook," I mean audiobooks created with AI—but I'll dive into that topic in a later post.)
I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the new cover designs. Up next is Juicy, which will be receiving its own extensive overhaul—including another round of edits and a virtual audiobook edition.

I'm Back ... Again 2025
Yep. It’s me. Again.
I never really left—I was just...doing other stuff. But recently, I dusted off this old blog, started poking around, and realized... hey, I actually *missed* this place!
Would you believe I started this blog way back in 2015
If you’ve been hanging with Pepper Pace since the days of Juicy and Beast, you might be wondering what I’ve been up to lately. Buckle up—here’s a little catch-up.
First, let’s talk about Kindle Vella. Back in summer 2021, Amazon rolled out this new platform for serialized fiction—stories dropped in episodes, kind of like your favorite shows. And your girl? I jumped in feet first. Not only did I love it, but I also thrived. Every single one of my stories ended up on the top FAVED lists. Every. Single. One. 🏆
But all good things must end, and Vella’s spotlight dimmed after just three years.
I had a little crisis moment—okay, maybe a big one. I’d retired, was counting on that Vella income, and then poof! Gone. Living solely on a pension wasn’t the plan. But blessings show up in all kinds of ways, and for me, that came through my other passion—reborn art dolls. Orders were coming in fast, and soon I found myself running Pepper’s Reborn Boutique, creating hyper-realistic, ethnic reborn dolls. Yes, I turned my hobby into a business, and it became my saving grace.
Then—plot twist—Podium Entertainment hit me up! They wanted to turn my Kindle Vella hit 1954 into an audiobook. That did so well, they came back for more. This time, it was The Galatian Exchange—my afro-futuristic, dystopian, sexy sci-fi romance saga that’s like a soap opera in space. And the best part? The narrators from season 1 are returning for season 2. Y’all, I’m so excited! I haven't even announced that to my Facebook fan group!
So, here we are. The Galatian Exchange is still going strong, my imagination is doing backflips, and my inbox is full of things I can’t wait to share with you.
It feels good to be back. And this time, I promise I won’t disappear on you for so long.
With love,
Pepper
