I now try to broil everything and have learned to use ground turkey in tacos, spaghetti, meatloaf, whatever beef was used in--started this over 10 yrs ago. I eat bacon every now and then and steak and pork 2-3 times a yr, hey, I'm human but here is a TMI moment--use the bathroom and the stench will tell what you ate can't be good for you. <br /><br />The DVD 'Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead' turned me onto juicing and this summer I plan to freeze the juice into Popsicles. I lost 1 lb for every day I was juicing and kept them off for months; slept better and skin glowed. I found out I was pre-diabetic and since it r...Lol. I found out I was pre-diabetic and since it runs bad on both sides of the family it was enough to scare me straight. I work with a personal trainer twice a week and do cardio 5 times a week. As far as the eating, there's an app called LoseIt that's been the biggest help. Being able too see what I consume daily really put it in perspective for me. I don't consume dairy, alcohol (except on special occasions), no sweets, no carbs except sweet potatoes, brown rice, or wheat pasta), and eat lots of fruits vegetables. Sounds extreme but it works for me.
