Literotica...almost got it right

The Wheels of Steel updates are finally showing on Literotica.com.  Well, it's almost right.  They still haven't updated the name to just Wheels of Steel and it's still not showing in the correct category of Novels/Novellas instead of Interracial, but close enough.

I may be tempting fate but I'm going to post Chapter 11 on Lit.  Wish me luck!  Oh btw, I typed 100 pages this weekend...not shit, either.  I'm so close to being finished that I can taste the finish line...

  3. I'm sooooo close to being finished. I actually thought I'd finish it this weekend. If I post updates here you all will kill me. The story just gets to a point where there is no stopping point, no lie. I'll be done well before New Years...barring any unforseen events!

  9. Hey, Pep. I am in the midst of re-reading the new novel version of this story and just wanted to let you know that in pt. 4, when Jason tells Robin he thinks she has a six octave voice...that's not really realistic. I have a lot of friends who sing and the most that a woman would probably have would be a three octave range...but that's if she is really good. lol. Just thought I would pass on the info. If you have any more voice questions, let me know!

Oh, and do you have actual ppl in mind for Robin and Jason? Like look wise?

  10. Hey Jodi
Pep I hope you don't mind if I address Jodi. I agree that it is very rare to have a six octive voice it is a huge talent. I myself have a five octive range. If you look at famous singers though I can reference 2 singers that have six octive ranges, Mariah Carey and Sandi Patti. So I know its not common but it happens.

  12. Hi Jodi, Hi Casey. When I initially did research on octave ranges I found very little info other then that Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey were rumored to be 6 octave. And that's where I got the octave range for Robin. But since then I've done additional research and found that this may not have been true. And further the whole thing about octave ranges is fairly controversial. Also having a high octave range is not necessarily an indicator of how good of a singer one is.

    Good info though.

  13. Oh yeah...I just remembered the dilemma of writing 100 pages. It's PROOFREADING 100 pages...

  16. Hey, just saw some of the replies to my comment. Pep, I can completely understand why you would use that. Upon seeing some of the research out there on the web, I would probably have come to the same conclusion myself if I didn't know any classically trained singers.

This claim however would totally be believable if Robin were a guy, cause guys have that fabulous, unfair advantage of a higher falsetto. That being said, I have never heard of Rachelle Farrell or Sandi Patti. Nice voices! (Youtube is great)

If there are women who have 6 octave voices, which Rachelle sounds like she could, it would only be because they must have developed the lower ranges that are typically classified for male singers. I highly doubt that Whitney or Mariah had such ranges, even when they were younger. Also, having the ability to hit a note in the 7th octave of the piano (which generally would only be in the 4th octave range for women) is not the same as qualifying it as a 'singable range'.

Let me know what you think
